FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Answers to Important Client Questions

Useful information regarding the format of legal cooperation, procedural details, and the protection of your rights.

1

Why is the Ph.D. in Law status an important advantage?

An academic degree testifies to the highest level of legal analytical skills and a fundamental understanding of the theory and practice of law. Many complex disputes are won not through generic templates, but thanks to the development of non-standard constitutional or international legal arguments that can convince judges of higher courts. This represents the intellectual elite of the bar.

2

How does cooperation with the attorney at law begin?

Cooperation always begins with an initial consultation (in-person in Kyiv or online). During this session, Yuriy Sergiyovych thoroughly analyses your situation, reviews documents and provides an honest legal forecast. Our clients always know the realistic chances of success and financial costs prior to signing an agreement.

3

What is a notary's enforcement inscription and why should it be challenged?

This is an out-of-court instrument used by banks and microfinance institutions to freeze citizens' accounts and deduct funds from personal income through private or state bailiffs. Through court proceedings, such an inscription can be declared non-enforceable, lifting asset freezes and seeking the return of unlawfully deducted funds. Our chambers regularly maintain an extensive successful practice in cases of this category.

4

Is cooperation possible in a remote format without my presence?

Yes, thanks to the 'Electronic Court' systems and the possibility of representation under an attorney at law's agreement, your presence in court is not mandatory. You can reside abroad or in another city in Ukraine, while Ph.D. Yuriy S. Kozachuk personally protects your rights and legitimate interests in all judicial instances.

5

What is the threshold percentage of a success fee?

In accordance with Ukrainian judicial practice and our professional ethical standards, a success fee by agreement of the parties may range from 5% to a maximum of 15% of the actually recovered or preserved asset value. This format is agreed upon individually in the legal assistance agreement and is payable solely after achieving the agreed outcome.
